Credit Crisis? What Credit Crisis?

I found out about the credit crunch a few days after the rest of the world did. Because I haven’t owned a television in 5 years and I don’t read the newspaper (unless I’m in it ), I’m often unaware of what is going on in the world until I need to know.

Now, you might be thinking that this is a little irresponsible of me. After all, as responsible citizens, surely it’s our duty to stay up to date on current affairs, is it not?

I have these Brain Training games that I play on my PC. For the last week, I have been tearing my hair out attempting to move to the next level in the game, but my brain was not allowing it!

I have been developing some Brain Entrainment CD’s to help get my brain into some deep trace like states, so I though “Why not try listening to the concentration one while playing the game?”

Well, I beat my top score and moved to the next level within minutes!

I am amazed. Gaming performance is a great objective test for Brain Entrainment. Mostly, I just notice that I feel good, or that I feel focussed, but to actually get direct feedback like this is exciting.

Brain Entrainment rocks!

Well, this morning has been a good one!

I just found out that I have come in as one of two runners up in the XL 2008 Extraordinary Lives award!

The winner was Dr John DeMartini, so I am in good company…

XL Results Foundation is a organization that consists of Social Entrepreneurs committed to giving back. Each year, 100 members (out of 4000 or so) are nominated for the award. Nominees are extraordinary people who are making a difference in the world.

So, you can imagine what an honor it is not only to be nominated, but to also come in second place!

It’s 4am as I type this from my 2 man tent in Montherme, France. I’ve just been woken by a torrential downpour and I’m wondering if my tent was designed to withstand this level of bettering from the elements…

Yes, you guessed it, I’m camping… this time in France.

It’s my Dad’s 70th birthday party next weekend in Zurich, so I decided to make an adventure out of it and ride my motorcycle (I’ve named her Noushka – as in Anoushka without the first A) to Zurich instead of fly.

Yesterday morning I woke at 5am and rode to Dover to catch my 8am ferry to Dunqerke, France. After 6 hours of blatting down the motorways (a technical term for riding my motorcycle fast) I arrived in Montherme, a quaint French village built beside a peaceful river.

I set up my tent and ‘viola’ (as all the French say – pronounced ‘wal-la’), I was in camping heaven… until I realized I left my motorcycle boots outside to be filled with rain… Oh well, I’m going to have wet feet when I get back on my bike, but hey, that’s why I call this adventure motorcycling, not sightseeing from a bus!

Caio for now… I’m off to listen to my Relaxation For Manifestation in the rain…

I’m writing this email with tears of inspiration running down my face after watching this video…

Here are some powerful lessons I took away from this video.

1) You need to have a BIG goal in order to succeed. Put another way, your goal must have meaning for you. In the video, the buffalo were prepared to risk their lives to accomplish their goal and save their young calf. Are you willing to put that much at stake to create the life of your dreams?

2) Next, you need the courage to take action, even when you’re scared. These buffalo were scared, no doubt about it, but they didn’t let their fear stop them from moving forward and reaching their goal.

3) Then you need a great team. One buffalo could never have taken on 6 lions and won. Are you a solo buffalo, or do you have a herd backing you up?

4) Make a choice and stick with it. In life, shit happens, but successful people never let that distract them, and stay focussed on fulfilling their vision for their lives.

Know this. In making a choice to go for your dreams, you are also inviting challenge and failure into your life. You can’t have one without the other. The buffalo, in choosing to save their calf, were inviting challenge and the real threat of death into their lives. If you’re prepared to stick with your vision even when the going gets tough and the naysayers are saying “It’s too late…”, then you have a fighting chance at success.

Again, nature comes in with all the answers…

Now, I don’t mean to paint a gloomy picture of what it takes to achieve massive success, but I do want to paint a REALISTIC one for you. Any goal that’s BIG enough to excite your spirit is going to challenge you, so make sure that you’re really in love with your goals.

The Olympic cyclist climbs many mountains before winning a gold medal. Why? Is he a sucker for punishment? No… He loves cycling.

The successful entrepreneur often goes though financial failure, only to bounce back and start another business. Why? Is she stupid? I don’t think so… She loves business.

The buffalo clearly loved their calf enough to risk their lives…

Life’s short, so make sure you do what you love, and love what you do.

Boy, have I got something cool for you today…I went to London last night for a book launch by a speaker who is making quite a buzz over here in the UK. His name is Mike Harris – a man who has started not one, but FOUR Billion Pound companies.

Someone in the audience raised his hand and asked, “Mike, how do you find the time to have a balanced family and personal life and run a £Billion business?”

Good question I thought. I was expecting Mike to talk about how busy he is, but instead he replied:

“I don’t really work that much… I’ve always made sure that I work normal office hours only. I delegate to others. If you want to have a £Billion company, you cannot do it on your own. You have to have a team to delegate to.”

Someone else asked, “Mike, how do you juggle everything that needs to be done?”

“I make sure I give 100% to whatever I am doing. When I am with my wife, I’m 100% with her. When I’m working on something I’m 100% focused on that.”

I grinned at Mike’s answer because it confirmed a distinction I teach that ‘multitasking is a sure way to failure.’

Then, instead of launching into teaching business principles, Mike began speaking about the importance of being accountable, the power of setting an inspiring BIG goal and having an irrational belief that you will succeed.

He sounded more like a motivational speaker than a corporate businessman. I guess that’s why he is so successful at whatever he does.

I’m going to wrap this up with one last quote from Mike,“You need to believe irrationally that you will prevail – never doubt for a second that you will succeed, whilst at the same time being realistic about where you are now…”

I’ve been doing some Google research on “universal laws of attraction” this morning and I was horrified to discover how much total BS is being touted as the truth on the internet. In this email to you, I’m going to uncover an incorrect myth about the Law Of Attraction.

Have you noticed that the phrases The Secret and the Law of Attraction have become interchangeable since the launch of the movie The Secret in March 2006?

At the time The Secret was released, I was leading seminars about using the Law Of Attraction, so you can imagine how excited I was about the potential impact that this movie
could have on the world.

Here was a mainstream movie that was teaching principles that I had been studying and sharing for 12 years. Now, several years on, the impact of the movie has been enormous,
both positive and negative.

On the up side, The Secret has opened millions of minds to what was previously an ‘underground teaching’ followed mostly the new-age movement. Better still, it inspired people to try out visualization techniques and dream bigger, which can only be a good thing. Several friends of mine will even testify that the movie was a pivotal turning point in their lives…

However, everything, including The Secret, has its flip side – a negative to balance the positive.

So, let’s look at the flipside of the rise to fame of The Secret.

Most notably, thousands of people are left wondering why they are still battling to manifest more than just empty parking spaces using law of attraction.

How do I know this?

Because one of the most commonly asked questions I receive about the law of attraction is “How long does it take to see results?”

The very nature of this question reveals a faulty belief system that does not support success.

You see, if someone asks you “How long does it take to see results with the law of attraction?” they obviously believe that their results are a product of some force outside of
themselves, not a product their own efforts.

Usually people asking this question are secretly hoping that the Law Of Attraction will magically manifest their success for them without them having to actually do anything outside
their comfort zone.

They want results from the law of attraction, yet they are not willing to actually DO anything to get those results. They want their brand new red Ferrari to be given to them by
‘the genie’ in the sky somewhere!

Let me ask you a question… Do you know ANYONE who you would consider super-successful, who became successful by sitting at home wishing for success?

Of course not!

Sadly, if not properly educated about how the law of attraction really works, the ‘genie worshippers’ either end up blaming themselves for their perceived failure or writing off the law of attraction altogether – Neither of which moves them forward in life.

OK, OK, I know I’m ranting… I’m fed up of all the lies being spread on the internet about how the Law Of Attraction will somehow, magically solve all your problems.

HOW THE LAW OF ATTRACTION REALLY WORKS

So here’s how I know it to work (from experience rather than theory)…

The Law Of Attraction brings opportunities, not end results.

YOU need to ACT on those opportunities in order to get the results you want. The Law Of Attraction only really kicks in when you begin taking massive take ACTION in the
world.

It’s called co-creation. You take action and ‘show the Universe that you mean business’ and the Universe then responds (through cause and effect) with the right opportunities to move you towards your goals fast.

Got it? Great!

There’s so much more to it than just co-creation, so you’ll be hearing lots more from me about how to use the Law Of Attraction in future.

WHAT ABOUT VISUALIZATION?

Visualization plays TWO important roles in getting results with the Law Of Attraction.

1) It reprograms your belief systems so that you go out into the world and actually take the ACTION, instead of procrastinating and worrying about failing.

2) Visualization activates the ‘observer effect’ – a Quantum Physics term to describe what happens to subatomic particles (the things that make up the Universe) when we watch them. Simply put, the Observer Effect plays a HUGE role in the process of attraction, which is why visualization is such a powerful tool. If you are not doing it, you’re missing out.

The take away here is that if you VISUALIZE regularly and take ACTION, you’ll begin attraqcting more and moving forwards QUICKLY. As you continue, you’ll gain momentum and before long you’ll be a lot closer to your goals than where you are now.

YES, I have oversimplified this process and YES, there are a lot more factors involved in effortlessly manifesting your dreams, but if you can just get these TWO habits in place
(regular visualization and taking action), you’ll fly leaps and bounds ahead of the rest of the pack.
