Thanks for your tips to get active, took less than ten minutes and wouldnt have thought to do it for myself, well maybe I would but it would be later. I have only chosen simple tasks but know they will add credibility and value to me and my work.

Hmmm…interesting. Since my business is both original music, and original photos and digital artwork (examples of this can be found on the link from my name), this complicates both the “providing value” and “solving problems” aspects. Writing is one of my most-developed personal skills, so I may be able to write about photographing Irish prehistoric sites, and creating ceramic ornaments and digital art inspired by the ceramic art of Neolithic European potters. Perhaps write about the original Neolithic art itself. However, that still doesn’t make my products equivalent to groceries and other necessities.

I have been puzzling about how people create download links for both paid and free ebooks. Perhaps PayPal has info about this? I’ve never made ebooks before, though I’ve got Adobe software on my laptop.

Anyway, hope everyone enjoys the upcoming holidays…

I am struggling with these ideas a bit as I sell jewelry and fashion accessories.How to add massive value I think would be by my 100% guarantee, great customer service, quality products, offer products that are “green”. As far as solving a problem…um… I sell magnetic jewelry that helps put oxygen in your blood stream, helps with aches and pains. Anyone have suggestions for me to work on, I welcome advice…please!!! Here’s my 2 cents worth.

Michelle, NOTHING will work for you while you hold on to your belief that ‘things are tough for you right now’.

Work with your beliefs AND take some of the advice offered here (or not) and I know you can turn things around.

I want to acknowledge you for having the courage to share your situation publically.

Also, you might want to consider the option of getting out of the furniture business and into a business where you CAN add more value, even in the current, ‘fear driven’ economic times.

I know that if you are creative enough, you can find a way to make a fortune and love what you do. I’ve seen it so many times.

I met a guy who trains parrots how to talk. He now sells his eBook online and makes enough just from that to pay ALL his bills – from a 30 page eBook!

Anything is possible, if you get creative and take some action.

Hey Michelle,
I want to add to Oaye’s excellent suggestions. How about rent a decorator for a business? Sometimes businesses has overseas visitors and they want to create an “atmosphere” for the visitors i e their home country, or they want to branch out nd they want to launch their expansion in the theme of the country they are expanding to, create an Eastern atmosphere or French or whatever. This can be part marketing, part info and part acultarization.
About the animals – I think we city dwellers lose our understanding of animals and animal behaviour and why they act the way they do and we get frustrated and we frustrate the animals and it makes for uncomfortable living, for instance dogs when they fight try to shoulder charge one another to get the opponent on his her back. It is not a good idea to push against a strange dog’s shoulder. How about writing a book/series of articles on animals and how to treat them,The more we know maybe the better we will treat.
I now someone else’s problems always seem easier to solve than your own but maybe these ideas can act as seeds to help you find solutions.Sometimes we feel guilty to make money out of our passion, it feels wrong, this was a gift to us and we must give it back, it feels like stealing pennies out of the collection-plate. If we give value we must be open to receive value in return.
