I spent January 2007 in California leading two seminars to many amazing people. The thing I love about the USA is that in general, people are so open to learning new ideas and really want to change. I experienced none of the resistance I am used to when leading seminars in the UK (no offence to my English readers!). All the participants just climbed right in.
Perhaps this was because I was also co-leading the seminars with the wonderful Wendi Friesen, the world’s most widely known hypnotherapist. Wendi runs the biggest hypnosis resource on the internet, www.wendi.com. The story of how we came to work together is so magical…
In October 2006, I registered to attend a ‘Train The Trainer’ course in Los Angeles. I thought to myself, “Seeing as I am going to California, I’d just love to lead a workshop or two there…”
Well, two weeks later, Wendi came to London and I attended one of her seminars here. I emailed her the next day to say thank you for a great seminar and also told her about my intrest in Quantum Physics. To my delight, she emailed me back saying that she would love to learn Quantum Physics from me and asked me if I would be interested in co-leading a seminar in California with her! I immediately wrote back and said, “How about leading 2 seminars?”
We ended up leading two seminars together, one in San Deigo and one in Sacramento. They were such fun! We hired a beach house in San Diego and spend 4 wonderful days there. Life is good and I have a great new friend!
What I learned from this is the power of Gentle Wishing, a distinction I am going to be writing about a lot more in the future.
