OPENING WORDS Hi there This month's issue is jam packed with useful information. Read about how I spent today riding a Honda CBR600 motorcycle at stupid speeds around Donnington Park racetrack as part of a motorcycle racing school. Find out how knowing how to use my mind effectively impacted my lap times in this months feature article, Mind Over Matter. This month's Miraculous Manifestation comes courtesy of Jerusha, who is manifesting her way to Pop Stardom. Neuro Programmer 2 is the most mind bending piece of software I have ever discovered... Read my review of it later down the page. Lastly, I have a F!REE GIFT for you at the end of this issue. By the way, I do know how to spell, the ! allows this message not to be sent to cyber hell by your spam filters... THIS MONTH'S FEATURE ARTICLE Mind Over Matter I always love having the privilege of learning from a master and today was no exception. My teacher was Ian, a balding former British motorcycle racing champion. His job was to teach me how to race around Donnington Park racetrack as fast as possible without "sendin' me bike down the road…" (bike speak for crashing). As I raced out of the pits onto the racetrack, my Honda CBR600 felt awkward as I had not been anywhere near a motorcycle for 6 months and already I was hurtling into a hairpin bend at 100mph. After surviving my first 15 minute training session following Ian around the track, our group had a quick debrief and we watched a demonstration of how to hang one's body off the bike while flying around a corner, leaning the bike at angles that would scare even Speedy Gonzales.
So, I volunteered to climb on the stationary bike and practice this particular move in front of the group (kinaesthetic input), all the while visualizing myself actually racing around the track (visual input) and imaging hearing the engine scream in my ears (auditory input). Only minutes later, I was back on my bike, speeding out of the pit lane and into Redgate corner. As I approached the corner, I slid off the seat, banked the bike to the right, crossed the apex of the corner and hit the gas, exiting the corner perfectly. Here’s how it works… Your Unconscious mind cannot tell the difference betweena real and an imagined experience. If an imagined experience contains enough sensory information, the brain actually begins to ‘rewire’ its neural pathways as if you had really experienced the imagined thing in reality. So, by the time I actually got back on the bike, my brain had already practiced racing around the track several times and had already rewired those neural pathways (neural racetracks in my case). As soon as I zoomed back onto the track, I noticed that I had improved about 80% from the end of my first session only 15 minutes earlier. Who else is using this? If you spend a moment looking, you will see that the applications of this information are endless. Tiger Woods imagines seeing the ball landing near the pin before he plays a shot. Unknown boxer, Steve Collins, had six weeks to prepare for a fight against world champion, Chris Eubank (undefeated for 43 fights). Steve spent four of those weeks working with Dr Tony Quinn developing his mind - seeing, hearing, feeling tasting and smelling having won the fight. He only spent two weeks practicing actual boxing!!! Steve Collins won the fight becoming world champion and he retired years later undefeated. What's in it for you? If you want to improve your results in any area of your life, spend some time in your imagination. You can apply your imagination to sales, sport, interviews, public speaking or playing a musical instrument. In fact, you can apply this technology to ANYTHING! If you do, your results will improve rapidly. Just try it! A Tip Be sure to include all five senses in your imaginings (sight, hearing, smell, taste and feeling (touch and emotion). Physical movement tends to stimulate an emotional response, so if you can do some kind of physical action during your imagining, chances are that the appropriate emotions will follow. Once you can feel the emotions strongly alongside the visuals, you have traveled most of the way towards making an imprint on your Unconscious mind. From then on, your Unconscious mind will seek out opportunities to make your imagined experience a reality for you. This month's inspired action step
Jerusha is destined to be a star. She is an incredible singer and is also a medical doctor. She has had a no.1 hit and recently moved from South Africa to Oxford where she is currently putting a band together. Just 3 months after attending her Designer Life workshop in June 2006, her life has shifted into high gear. Jerusha says, "I did my mind programming for 18 days after the workshop and within a week, I was yanked into action, finding a singing teacher and being invited to perform to 600 people at a music festival. But the real highlight was unexpectedly being flown to Stockholm last week to write songs with Britney's and Madonna's producers. Prior to the workshop, I had been trying for 3 months to get some hit songs together without success, so this was a real miracle for me!" Listen out for Jerusha on your radio. She is making waves. You can visit Jerusha on www.jerusha.net or www.myspace.com/jerushamusic. It's not often I can say that a piece of software has changed my brain, but in this case, Neuro Programmer 2 has done just that. :-) Neuro Programmer 2 is a piece of software that induces a specific brain state of your choice using sound and light to stimulate your brain. The technology and scientific research behind this amazing product is too extensive to go into in this small space, but you can read all about it on their web site if you are interested. Here's how the software works:
I use the "Hypnotic Relax" preset and find it incredibly effective for for programming my Unconscious Mind, especially if I am struggling to relax. The software only costs $45 (£22) to download now, so go visit http://tinyurl.com/gsum3 and check it out. I am so impressed with how well thought out and effective this software is that I now use it daily for concentrating and for relaxing. It really is that good! A GIFT FOR MOVING MOUNTAINS READERS The Science Behind Success Tele-seminar I recently held an inspiring tele-seminar called The Science Behind Success. Fortunately, I recorded it and You can listen to it now or download it to your desktop to listen to at another time. Go to http://www.designer-life.com/2html/teleseminar.html to listen now.
